Election travesty. Election rape. The systematic perversion of our basic election principles. The beginning of the end. Collectively, the events that brought the bush regime to power. It started slowly, I was not immediately destroyed. Now, at that time, I didn't think this would effect me personally, I just knew it was not a good thing for the country.
As I went along in my life, things continued to go fairly well. My business was going along, and as I passed my first year of operation, I had finally gotten to the profit range. No more plodding along just breaking even, I was beginning to put lots of money in the bank every week, and was feeling satisfied that my business was off the ground.
Then came Sept 11, 2001. The end of life as we knew it. Not just for me, but for our country as well. For me, The freight slowdown caused by the attack was just enough to drain me of my newly acquired savings. I had not yet accumulated enough savings to ride it out. By Nov. 28, 2001, I was out of business. Yep, that was the day I gave the truck back to the creditors. As I was living in my home state of Rhode Island, it was about 90 miles to the dealership in Branford Ct., where I originally purchased the truck. It was a pretty depressing drive, as you might imagine. My girlfriend followed me to drive me back home. I went inside, dropped of the keys, turned around and went home.
